Stuntman Evgeny Chebotarev has cheated death after missing a multi-storey jump in a Lada Niva.

The jump occurred among buildings at the base of Mount Kazbek in North Ossetia-Alania.

In one of the videos posted by Mr Chebotarev, he dedicates the stunt to Russian actor Sergei Bodrov Jr who died in an avalanche that took place in 2002 in the mountains seen in the background.

The Lada Niva has what appears to be less than 100 metres to gain enough speed in order to jump over to the adjacent abandoned building using a makeshift wooden ramp.

The stunt was recorded from multiple angles and shows the vehicle on the roof and then as it comes crashing down.

A video starts with Chebotarev revving the car before pressing the accelerator and taking off. But right after he leaps off the ramp, the car takes a dive and hits the bricks on the adjacent building.

Both the car and driver immediately plunge four storeys and into debris on the ground.

The car bounces before landing on its four wheels with its bonnet wide open and front windscreen completely shattered.

In the background, concerned bystanders can he heard yelling to Mr Chebotarev.

Mr Chebotarev jumps out of the vehicle and walks away from the debris. He later confirmed he received medical treatment.

“I almost survived. On my way to the hospital. You knew I wouldn’t stop,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
