No, this isn’t footage from Grand Theft Auto V.

A thief in Los Angeles has taken police on a wild chase after stealing a Rolls-Royce Phantom, before driving into a car park structure at the LA Grand Hotel.

According to Fox11, LAPD called in its K9 dog unit to try and locate them. There is currently no information on the driver or their whereabouts.

ABC7 reports the pursuit started shortly before 11:30am after reports the stolen vehicle made its way onto the 210 freeway through Arcadia – about 22 kilometres from the hotel in Downtown LA where it was abandoned.

ABC7 reports the owner of the vehicle was aware of the robbery and provided California Highway Patrol with GPS tracking information throughout the pursuit.

At over 5.7m long and 2m wide, the Rolls-Royce Phantom is hardly the most discreet getaway vehicle.

Throughout the video posted to YouTube by ABC7, the driver can be seen constantly driving on the wrong side of road, weaving through traffic and going through red lights.

At one point the driver almost collides with oncoming traffic in Downtown LA, however they reversed to allow oncoming traffic to clear.

After entering the underground car park structure, the vehicle never comes out and it’s unclear what happened to the driver.
