Controversial actor Gary Busey has landed himself in hot water yet again.

The American actor and reality star was caught fleeing an alleged hit-and-run in a blue Volvo C30 along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu this week.

A YouTube video uploaded by TMZ shows an unnamed woman chasing Mr Busey down after he allegedly rear-ended her BMW X3 in a shopping centre car park. The video doesn’t show the accident itself, but rather the following events.

Mr Busey eventually stopped at a car park outside a restaurant and the lady confronted him for not stopping. She also tried to get his information.

The actor remained quiet during the confrontation, although he gave away that he has Progressive Insurance, which is a US-based insurance company. He also said to the woman that “I’m private”.

Although there’s no definitive proof that Mr Busey actually crashed into the lady’s X3, there is obvious damage to the front end of the Volvo C30.

After this exchange between the woman and Mr Busey, he then drives off from the car park while the unnamed lady is still yelling out for him to stop. Mr Busey appears to start playing The Beach Boys’ “Would It Be Nice” as he drives off.

TMZ reports the police said the woman filed a hit-and-run report and there are detectives now investigating.

That tabloid outlet also points out that leaving the scene of a car accident that results in property damage or injury is a crime.
