Involved since 1998, Deena has been President since 2006 when Berkeley Youth Football and Cheer was formerly known as Berkeley Pop Warner. With several years of coaching experience in cheerleading, Deena has brought

multiple teams to the National Championships held in Florida. Every team that she has coached is nationally ranked. In 2013, her Division 15 team took home the title of AYC National Champions and were undefeated. Ever since Deena has entered the organization, the Berkeley Youth Football and Cheer building located in Veterans Park has been remodeled. Over the years, she added running water, a full stainless steel kitchen complete with a storage room, indoor bathrooms, central air conditioning, heat, a new office, a re-designed football equipment room, a re-designed cheerleading room, and a full meeting room. Deena also added a new LED scoreboard complete with a scrolling message board, as well as sidewalks throughout the entire complex along with a concession stand patio to make it handicapped accessible. Deena is now an Honorary Executive Board Member, after serving as President for 10 years. Deena is currently American Sport Education Program, Rutgers, USA Football, American Youth Cheerleading Coaching, CPR, AED, and Heads Up Concussion certified.
